Happy International Fairy Day 2013

Fairy Day is a day for magic, and for wishes to come true.  For one day, put aside the cynicism of the modern world and embrace the possibilities of the unknown… I always love an excuse to dress like a fairy. 🙂 It’s time to dust off the fairy wings and plan something magical for the day! Here are some fun fairy-fashion pics from the past… Wedding Fairy: Why not wear wings on your wedding day? …and yes, your bridesmaids should all wear wings too. FaerieCon Faerie: Did you hear about FaerieCon?  There is an annual convention just for faerie’s.  Fun! Halloween Fairy: What better to dress as for Halloween?  Instead of the typical good fairy, go for a more dark goth fairy. Fairy Essentials: Wings are the core essential for dressing like a fairy (although you never see Suki Stackhouse in wings). Other essentials include a whimsical headpiece, a frilly skirt, … [Continue reading]

Dare to Be Sexy this Summer

Guest Post by Christine Bove of www.christinebove.com 5 ways to dress sexy without looking trashy! Sexy.  What does that really mean? It means having confidence, loving yourself, being playful and having fun with life.  Do you shy away from particular articles of clothing thinking they will make you look too sexy or even trampy?  Your problem is your mindset and your false beliefs: “sexy is for the young gals,” “sexy is only for skinny girls,” “sexy is only for single girls looking to find their mate.” If you can relate to these beliefs it’s time to trash them and create a new perspective. I am sexy because I am confident, beautiful and know how to have fun. In Fashion Feng Shui®, The Pleasure Seeker essence AKA “Fire Girl” is all about being sassy, sexy and fun, but not every gal is the Fire girl. Although everyone has the Fire essence in them it’s all … [Continue reading]

I could get lost in creativity there for days (and I am fully planning on doing just that in a few months :D)! Want a behind the scenes look at how jewelry is manufactured?   Check out the video below for a sneak peak at the jewelry manufacturing process… I am very excited to be working with this factory in the creation of my new jewelry line.  More to come on this in future posts… I’d love to hear from you. How to Wear Back Jewelry (Better Than a Celebrity)

Ever since the Oscar’s, everyone is talking about back jewelry.  Jennifer Lawrence and Ann Hathaway both rocked different back jewelry looks this year. {Photo from Pinterest} Styles of back jewelry are just as varied as styles of necklaces. They can be as simple as a single chain with decorative dangle hanging down the back of the neck a few inches, or as dramatic as a multi-layered statement back necklace. Contrary to some of the articles that have been published lately, back jewelry is nothing new. It is also not simply wearing a regular necklace backwards, although this is certainly an option and the look Jennifer Lawrence chose for the Oscars. Back jewelry is a very elegant and sexy way to accentuate your back and shoulder area, especially if wearing a strapless dress or a top with an open back. Want to wear back jewelry but you aren’t sure how?   Here are … [Continue reading]

Here are 4 things to consider when you purchase jewelry that will ensure you get the most value from your purchases. How often will you wear it? Is it good quality? How much do you like it? These are the staples in your jewelry box and the pieces that you turn to again … [Continue reading]
